Division of Transportation Performance completes realignment
The intent and spirit of the realignment was to strategically position staff and resources to respond to the vision for ITD as communicated by Director Ness, implement our Long Range Transportation Plan known as “Idaho on the Move,” and also become a performance-driven department.
Director Ness stated in a March 2010 communication:
“The overriding vision for the department is this: Be the best transportation department in the country...

And finally, responsibility for the Statewide Transportation Investment Program (STIP) and Unified Planning Work Plan (UPWP) were transferred from the Division of Transportation Planning to ITD’s Office of Transportation Investment (OTI).
We believe these organizational changes will position staff and resources to respond aggressively to the challenges and vision established by Director Ness.
