ITD Director Brian Ness experienced the flavor – and hospitality – of District 1 during a trip to the Coeur d’Alene area last week.
He visited with ITD employees, area legislators and city officials May 25-27. He also learned firsthand the talents of D-1 cooks when he attended the annual employee Benefit and Wellness barbecue and service awards presentation.
Although the weather was rainy, the D-1 employees enjoyed a delicious potluck barbecue, received free hearing, diabetes, cholesterol and eye exams and had the opportunity to check out a dozen booths from area merchants and medical providers, explains Scotty Fellom, the district’s business manager.
“After a hearty lunch, Director Ness even assisted in the drawing for door prizes,” Fellom added.
All district foremen area sections and management staff participated in the Wellness and Benefit barbecue.
