The Division of Public Transportation, in cooperation with a number of local and regional planning organizations, announced this week the availability of federal and state mobility grants for fiscal year 2011.
Applications for public transportation project grants will be available Monday (Dec. 14). Plans and materials that address documented needs and strategies of the proposals are on the statewide mobility Web site: http://www.mobilityidaho.org The Web site also includes a calendar for dates and times for technical assistance to complete the funding applications.
Completed applications are due by 5 p.m. (MST), Feb. 26, 2010. Submissions must be mailed to the Idaho Transportation Department – Division of Public Transportation, Attn. GA Team, PO Box 7129, Boise, ID 83707-1129. Applications will not be accepted after the deadline.
To request a printed copy of the material included on the Web site, call the division toll-free at (800) 527-7985 or, from the Treasure Valley area, 334-8875. Callers should be prepared to provide an e-mail address, mailing address, name of a contact person, and a telephone number so requests for materials can be processed.
Organizations planning to submit an application should refer to a map on the mobility Web site to determine the Local Mobility Management Networks that will be needed for completion of the grant applications.
