Green exposition planned May 17, 18 in Boise
Jackie McCloughan, a member of ITD’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction committee, will participate in a comprehensive two-day Idaho Green Expo in Boise this weekend.
The free expo will showcase environmentally friendly products and services and provides information that will help individuals adopt a healthier more environmentally conscious lifestyle. It begins at 9 a.m. Saturday and runs through 8 p.m. at the Boise Centre on the Grove. It resumes Sunday at 10 a.m. and concludes at 6 p.m.
The goal, according to organizers, is to “improve both the quality of our environment and the quality of our lives.”
It will feature more than 150 exhibitors and more than 60 workshops and seminars on a variety of “green-living” topics, that range from air quality, transportation and “car-free living,” to renewable energy, sustainability, solar energy, energy efficient homes, recycling, alternative energy, water conservation, hazardous waste, community planning and watersheds.
