Nicole Hansen was trapped by what appeared to be a hopeless family crisis. Subsisting on child support payments, she was desperately trying to provide for her two children, ages 7 and 5.

How important are contributions to the annual United Way campaign? Ask Nichole or the thousands of others who benefit from programs supported by the annual fund drive.
ITD employees may never see the faces, hear the cries or touch the hands that benefit from their generosity. But their contributions – regardless of size – make an incalculable difference in the lives of needy individuals throughout the state. Without our help, one more hungry child, another homebound senior citizen or homeless family may run out of options like Nichole.
The United We Care – Idaho State Employee Charitable Giving Campaign has worked successfully with United Way to distribute funds to community agencies and organizations. The single-distribution system keeps the costs of conducting a workplace campaign to a minimum while maximizing contributions.
Contributions by state employees can go directly to the United Way campaign or can be specifically directed to a number of organizations by employees.
The Idaho State Employees Charitable Giving Campaign is the result of Executive Order 2007-10, issued by Gov. Otter. That order provides:
