More than 100 bicyclists this weekend will complete a non-competitive, supported ride through south central Idaho. The ride began Sunday (Aug. 6) in Melba and ends in Lowman on Saturday (Aug. 12).
ITD urges motorists to use caution when encountering riders along the highways, and seeks support for their cycling teams.
Ride Idaho is a seven-day event designed to take participants into many small communities for breaks, meals and overnight stays. Many host communities use the opportunity as a fund-raiser.

Support vehicles will accompany the riders.
Motorists are reminded to be aware of the riders and to slow down as they pass the bikes. Riders are expected to be on the roadways for up to eight hours each day. The Treasure Valley YMCA coordinates the event.
