The Idaho Transportation Department joins other state agencies next week (May 1-5) in honoring employees for dedicated service to Idaho citizens.
A week of random prize drawings will begin Monday. Individuals can pick up raffle tickets and check daily e-mail messages to discover if/what they won. A jar filled with undetermined objects will be on display in the lobby, offering a prize to the person who is closest to guessing the number of contents.
Headquarters employees signed up to “loosen up” on Tuesday at the hands of skilled masseurs. In about the same time required for a coffee or smoke break, employees will get a 15-minute relaxing chair massage at a cost of $11. All of the available massage openings were quickly taken by Friday morning, according to Michelle Rowland.
A 20-minute “wellness walk” is planned Wednesday afternoon. Walkers should sign up at the south entrance to Headquarters between 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. The fitness walk, along a route of individual choice, should be completed by 4 p.m. Participants will receive a “cool walk incentive” and those signed up for the annual I-Fitness Challenge will be able to double their time walking time on the fitness log.
Employees can take a mid-morning break Thursday and savor treats provided by Executive Team and board members. Morning snacks will be available in Room 115 between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
The weeklong prize drawings and winner of the “estimation” game will conclude Employee Recognition Week on Friday.
On behalf of the ITD Board, Executive Team and administrators, please accept these fun activities as a "thank you" for what employees do throughout the year to make the transportation department a great place to work and for improving transportation for Idaho citizens.
