The Idaho Transportation Department will serve as host next week of the National Conference of State Fleet Administrators (NCSFA) annual meeting at the Coeur d’Alene Resort.
ITD’s Alison Lantz, a member at large of the national organization, is chairman of the conference and trade show.
NCSFA is a professional organization that includes fleet administrators from agencies throughout the country and U.S. territories. Membership is composed primarily of agency administrators responsible for overseeing operation of state vehicle fleets.
“Together, the members cooperate toward more effective exercise of fleet administration to attain greater efficiency and economy in state government,” according to the organization.
Among the presentations planned for the 2005 conference, “Sharing Experience – Building the Future,” are:
The conference also will include a trade show that offers the latest in professional/commercial tools to help operate vehicle fleets more efficiently, a sponsored hospitality suite and optional tours of Coeur d’Alene attractions, including a tour of Wallace and a historic silver mine.
“All in all, this should be one of the best fleet management educational forums to be presented this year, anywhere by anyone,” according to outgoing NCSFA President Dennis Halachoff of the Arizona Department of Transportation.
