ITD’s District 6 staff received a Special Appreciation Award from the Idaho State Police during the 12th annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day luncheon, May 17, in Idaho Falls.
The award recognizes District 6 for its partnership with ISP on work zone safety projects, which are designed to enhance the safety of construction workers, traffic control personnel and motorists in highway construction zones.
Over the years, the relationship ISP has shared with ITD has been invaluable,” according to the letter of appreciation from ISP. “From renting low-priced office space and sharing of resources to save tax dollars to partnering on traffic safety projects, which have undoubtedly saved lives.”
District 6 staff received a plaque that was inscribed with “Special Appreciation Award presented to Idaho Transportation Department, District 6, on behalf of the Idaho State Police. In recognition of your outstanding dedication and service to the citizens of our community, Presented by the Greater Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce.”
