Idaho commercial truck web site recognized
An Idaho web site that provides information for commercial truck drivers and fleet managers has been recognized nationally as part of the 2004 Digital Government Achievement Awards program. The honors were announced recently by the Center for Digital Government.
Awards recognize outstanding agency and department web sites and applications that enhance interactions, transaction and/or services in four categories: government-to-government, government-to-citizen, government-to-business and government internal. Idaho's commercial truck site is http://www.trucking.idaho.gov
Developed by Access Idaho, the on-line service for commercial truckers was a finalist in the government-to-business category. The top five placers in that category were: Texas Workforce Commissions WorkInTexas.com; the Utah.gov business portal; the U.S. Social Security Administrations Business Services Online; Wireless Building Inspection System of Hollywood, Fla;, and the Maine Secretary of States SOSonline.org.
