enrollment for life insurance begins Sept. 1
ITD employees have an opportunity to purchase additional life insurance through the Voluntary Group Life Plan, underwritten by the Prudential Insurance Company of America. The plan is administered by Gallagher Byerly, Inc. The open enrollment period begins Sept. 1 and continues through Nov. 30.
The life insurance plan is designed to supplement other life insurance that ITD employees may already have through ITDs benefit program or any insurance employees may have purchased independently. The open enrollment period provides an opportunity to purchase term life insurance with no medical evidence requirements. The monthly cost remains the same, regardless of your age.

Those who decline during the open enrollment period will have to wait for the next open period, and employees already participating do not need to re-enroll. Upgrades from the $9 plan to the $12 plan or from the $12 plan to the $16 plan cannot be made during this open enrollment period.
