Solicitation not sanctioned by ITD
ITDs Human Resource Services was informed
this week of unauthorized insurance solicitations and warns
employees to be wary in responding. Apparently, an insurance
salesman named Jay Hites (spelling may differ) has been contacting
employees and implying he has state approval to offer insurance
as part of a retirement plan.
No such authority has been given, says Mary
Harker, the transportation departments HRS manager.
I have not given this man permission to
contact employees, and his insurance plan has not been sanctioned
by the state, she said this week.
She asks employees to get the solicitors
telephone number and contact information and forward it to
her so she can take appropriate action.
Anyone with questions about the solicitation
should contact Harker at 334-8010.

The second day concentrates on EEO issues in construction
contracting and ensuring compliance. It also will review the
resources available for assistance. Professional speakers
who are considered experts in their fields will be brought
in both days.
