Idaho 16, I-84 to South Emmett Corridor

Corridor Description

Under the GARVEE program, ITD received environmental approval for a new four-lane divided highway connecting I-84 to Idaho 44 (State Street). The GARVEE program also funded the construction of the section from Idaho 44 to U.S. 20/26 and acquired the right-of-way for future interchanges at both Idaho 44 and U.S. 20/26.

The remainder of the corridor from U.S. 20/26 to I-84 is unfunded at this time. The corridor is being planned as a four-lane divided highway with access only at future interchanges. Interchanges are planned in the future at Idaho 44, U.S. 20/26, Ustick Road, Franklin Road and I-84.

The GARVEE projects in the Idaho 16, I-84 to South Emmett corridor have been completed.

  • Idaho 16, U.S. 20/26 to Idaho 44 (Key No. 11236)
  • Idaho 16, I-84 to Idaho 44 Environmental Study (Key No. 09963)

For a description of the projects in this corridor, read the Annual GARVEE Report.
