Human Resources at ITDApplication Information: You can apply online for all open ITD Job Announcements at www.itd.idaho.gov/careers or with the Division of Human Resources at Division of Human Resources. Application information is listed on each job announcement as well as minimum qualifications, pay, and benefit information. Please contact the ITD Recruiting Team at 208-334-8664 or by email at careers@itd.idaho.gov to learn more about ITD career opportunities. Job Announcements are also available at ITD Headquarters, ITD District Offices, and at all Job Service Offices statewide. Screening, Testing, and Interviews: The Division of Human Resources requires some form of test for most state jobs. After your application has been screened to ensure that you meet the Minimum Qualifications, you may be notified that you are being scheduled to take an examination. Sometimes, the application itself will serve as the only examination and will be scored. The hiring department contacts qualified candidates to set up interviews. Offers of employment are made once the interviews are completed. Probationary Period: All classified state employees serve an entrance probationary period of 6 months (1040 hours). Employees are certified to permanent status upon satisfactorily completing their probationary period. Career Advancement: Employees who have received permanent status are eligible to compete for promotional opportunities within ITD and also in any other state department. Employees are also able to transfer within ITD and into other state departments. Salary Information: Nearly all of ITD´s employees are classified state employees. The classification of a position determines into which pay grade a position will fall. Pay grades are a range of pay from entry level to maximum. The Idaho Transportation Department administers its salary policies based on the principle of pay-for-performance. Employees advance through their classifications’ salary range by contributing towards ITD’s mission and when funding is available.
