The Maintenance Services Section administers the Maintenance Operations School Outreach Program and Betty the Butterfly Program.

Through the Maintenance Operations School Outreach Program ITD district personnel provide primary school students an opportunity to learn Maintenance Work Zone safety practices. The Program includes both classroom workbook activities and winter maintenance equipment demonstrations.

Betty the Butterfly is ITD´s anti-litter educational Program. Betty and her friends take primary school children from mountains to deserts to rivers to lakes telling them that Betty loves Idaho, and how they can help to keep it a beautiful state.

Both of these programs are offered free of charge, we only ask that you complete and return the report cards to ITD.
