I-84, Orchard to Isaacs Canyon Corridor
Under the GARVEE Program, ITD widened I-84 from two to four lanes from just west of the Orchard
Street Interchange to the Broadway Interchange, and from two to three lanes from the Broadway to
Gowen interchanges. The improvements included reconstructing the Orchard, Vista, Broadway and Gowen
Interchanges; building a soundwall along I-84, and rehabilitating 5.6 miles of aging pavement
between the Broadway and Eisenman interchanges.
For a description of the projects in this corridor, read the Annual GARVEE Report.
