The GARVEE-funded projects in this nine-mile corridor to safely accommodate projected traffic and maintain the corridor’s vital role in the interstate system. This corridor, originally constructed in the 1960s, was not designed for today’s traffic volumes.

The evironmental assessment was completed by ITD, prior to this project becoming a part of the GARVEE program, in November 2007.
