Project Description

Location: Pinehurst, Idaho
Contractor: Wadsworth Brothers Inc.
Contract: $11.3 million
Started: Spring 2014
Est. Completion: Fall 2015

This project consists of replacing both the I-90 eastbound and westbound structures at the Pinehurst interchange (Exit 45) over Silver Valley Rd (Old US 10) and the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes in Pinehurst, Idaho. The eastbound on-ramp and westbound off-ramp will also be reconstructed and extended onto the structures to allow for easier and safer merge and diverge movements to/from the interstate.

  • The eastbound structure will be completed in 2014 and the westbound structure will be completed in 2015.
  • The I-90 eastbound on-ramp will be closed during construction of the eastbound structure and traffic will be detoured along Silver Valley Rd to the Smelterville interchange (Exit 48). The I-90 westbound off-ramp will be closed during construction of the westbound structure and traffic will be detoured along Silver Valley Rd from the Smelterville interchange.
  • Silver Valley Rd and the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes will remain mostly open during construction with users being temporarily restricted during certain operations.
